
Authorities in Houston are actively investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found in a vacant field on Bissonnet Street yesterday. The remains were uncovered in the 12800 block of Bissonnet Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Law enforcement is awaiting an autopsy to determine the individual’s identity, gender, and cause of death. These details are currently being reviewed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, as reported by the City of Houston.
Officers from the Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to the scene following a report of the discovery. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks are leading the investigation. At this time, officials have not identified any clear signs of foul play. However, the circumstances surrounding the individual's death remain unclear.
