
Last Friday evening, 15-year-old Kenneth Payne was shot and killed at a gas station on North Braeswood Boulevard around 7:15 p.m. Despite receiving medical attention, he died from his injuries, according to the City of Houston.
Houston police say witnesses saw a disturbance between two groups at a gas station. As the groups were leaving, an unknown person or persons shot at their vehicle, hitting Payne. Officers responded to a hospital at 7600 Beechnut Street around 7:50 p.m. after receiving calls about the shooting, as reported by the City of Houston.
Houston Police Detectives G. Rangel and H. Montealegre are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of Kenneth Payne’s shooting death. There are no known suspects.
