Houston Police arrested 28-year-old Dewayne Martin Jr. in connection with an aggravated robbery. He is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. A woman reported to the Houston Police Robbery Division that a male acquaintance approached her near her apartment. She tried to run inside, but he followed her, showed a firearm, and took her personal items. The suspect then fled in a tan Cadillac without a license plate.
Dewayne Martin Jr. was wanted for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, and a warrant was issued on August 25. Last Monday, a Southwest Patrol officer stopped a tan Cadillac at 12800 Townwood Dr. for a mismatched license plate. Martin gave a false name but was later identified. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and for failing to identify himself, then booked into Harris County Jail, as stated by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
