After an investigation spanning several years, authorities have made a breakthrough in a 2019 homicide case. Trevon Demitri Lewis, 28, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Terry Clark, who was found dead in his apartment located at 6633 West Airport Boulevard, according to City of Houston News. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 29, 2019.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. that day, witnesses reported hearing gunshots and subsequently observed two black males fleeing from the victim's apartment in a white SUV, as per the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division. The investigation over the years was extensive, with detectives diligently gathering evidence that ultimately led to the identification and charging of Lewis.
In their reports, Sergeant C. Duncan, along with Detectives T. Tyler, S. Spivey, and R. Pemberton, played key roles in advancing the case. Lewis faced charges in the 337th Criminal District Court and was taken into custody on Thursday by members of HPD’s South Gessner Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team, working in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service. He was subsequently processed and booked, with the mugshot attached to the City of Houston’s news release showing Lewis in custody.
