
A collision on Airline Drive in Houston resulted in a fatality. Houston police reported that a man critically injured in a crash on the 11700 block of Airline Drive around 8:50 p.m. last Friday was pronounced dead on Tuesday due to his injuries.
The victim, a 40-year-old male whose identity is being withheld until family is notified, was struck by a gray Toyota Yaris while in the roadway, this information is pending further details from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to the City of Houston's news release, emergency responders transported the man to the hospital where he later died.
The driver of the Toyota, a 45-year-old woman, stopped following the crash, and after being questioned by the authorities, she was released without charges at the scene; police note there were no apparent signs of intoxication. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is actively ongoing by the HPD Northbelt Patrol Division officers and Officer D. Thompson of the Vehicular Crimes Division.
