Early this morning, a man was killed in a crash on the Gulf Freeway. Houston police reported the accident occurred around 3:40 a.m. at the 15400 block of the service road. The victim’s name has not been released, pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston.
Houston Police officers Sergeant D. Rose and Officer A. Thomas reported that a black Ford Fusion struck a male pedestrian walking in a moving lane on a southbound service road. The driver stopped, called 911, and attempted CPR, but Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, as reported by the City of Houston.
The Houston Police Department is investigating a recent incident in which a person was hit by a vehicle. The driver, who showed no signs of intoxication, has been questioned and released, as mentioned by the City of Houston. More information will be provided as the investigation continues.
