Last Friday, Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to Woodforest National Bank in Houston after a woman tried to deposit a check for over $15,000. She left the bank when questioned about the check, and authorities are now investigating, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Deputies responded to a report in the 26200 block of the Northwest Freeway involving a suspicious bank transaction. The check was found to be forged, and investigators traced it to a construction firm in Pennsylvania. Kaitlyn Broussard was identified as the suspect and has been charged with Forgery of a Financial Instrument, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Broussard was taken to Harris County Jail with a $1,500 bond set by the 263rd District Court, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page. The office shares updates on crime, traffic, and safety on Facebook and through the "C4 NOW" app.
