A tragic incident unfolded on U.S. Route 6 in Berlin Township, where a Huron man lost his life during a collision involving his motorcycle and another vehicle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that 23-year-old Cade Gwynn was operating a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle last night when the crash occurred, as noted by WKYC.
Gwynn was traveling westbound at approximately 8:58 P.M., when a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu allegedly did not yield while turning left into a driveway leading to the fatal collision. According to details from FOX8, Gwynn was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was reportedly buckled up during the incident and unhurt. Alcohol or drugs have not been considered factors in this accident, based on information from the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported by Cleveland19. The Erie County Sheriff’s Office also responded and aided at the scene of the accident.
While the investigation continues, no charges have been filed against the driver of the Malibu.
