
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a robbery and shooting incident in Seffner, which took place early Tuesday morning. WFLA reports that deputies were called to the scene at the 300 block of Tweed Avenue after 2 a.m., following a distress call from a woman. She reported that her boyfriend had been shot by another individual.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered a graze wound to the back of the head and was quickly rushed to Tampa General Hospital, per WTSP. Despite the early time of the incident, which may have hindered immediate witness participation, the deputies have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
Details surrounding the shooting are still scant. FOX 13 News confirms that as of 7 a.m., the circumstances leading up to the event had not been released, and law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether there was any known relationship between the shooter and the victim. Furthermore, no description of the suspect has been shared with the public at this time.
