The contest, which ran from July 3 to August 30, saw local teams roll up their sleeves to clear out trash from various public spaces. Leading the pack, Michael Tyke's team not just collected over 50 bags of litter but also went the extra mile to haul away bulky items that couldn't be contained in bags, according to the City of Jacksonville's official announcement.

Among the rewards for Operation G.L.A.D.D. Dads' impressive clean-up tally, the group earned the right to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game. In a statement obtained by the City of Jacksonville's official news release, the city expressed its gratitude to Michael and his team, "We’re incredibly grateful to Michael and the Operation G.L.A.D.D. Dads for showing what Duval pride looks like." In addition, the team will enjoy a night in a private suite at VyStar Veterans Memorial Stadium for a game against the Memphis Redbirds on September 9.
