The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) used social media on Labor Day to remind residents to celebrate safely. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office official Facebook page, they encouraged responsible behavior, urging people to plan a safe ride home through a designated driver or rideshare if they are drinking.
Public offices, including the Police Memorial Building and all six District Substations, are closed for the holiday. However, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed that officers remain on duty and reminded the community to call 911 in an emergency.
