Attention Janesville residents and visitors: Starting September 4, the south part of S. Crosby Avenue at W. Court Street will be closed until September 18. The City of Janesville is closing the road to do important work on sewers, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and electrical systems. Be sure to plan a different route during this time.
While the City of Janesville is not posting an official detour, motorists will need to scout out alternate paths to circumvent the construction. The intersection closure means that travel on W. Court Street will still be possible east and west, and N. Crosby Avenue will remain open for northbound traffic. Before the shutdown of S. Crosby Avenue, S. Arch Street will be reopened to help ease the flow of displaced vehicles.
