Residents in Kirkwood can breathe a little easier as the local police department has resolved a hiccup with their non-emergency phone lines. After being temporarily out of service, the department announced that the lines are once again operational, ensuring that residents have access to their support services beyond just 911 emergency calls.
The service disruption was initially reported through a social media post by the Kirkwood Missouri Police Department's Facebook page yesterday. In that post, the department swiftly informed the community that “Our non-emergency phone line is currently not working. A service ticket has been placed, and we are working to have the issue resolved as quickly as possible.” During the outage, residents were reminded to still utilize 911 for any emergencies, as those lines remained fully functional. The department was diligent in providing updates and later followed up with good news, indicating that the services had been restored.
