Las Vegas' Mob Museum is doubling down on its homage to the city's gilded past with the upcoming Starlight Plaza, a new outdoor lounge set to open this fall. According to News 3 LV, the venue sprawls across 7,700 square feet and promises to transport patrons back to Sin City's storied era of glitz and gangsters.
The museum's touch of Mid-Century Modern design will be evident in Starlight Plaza's décor, splashed with shades of green, pink, and gold reflecting the vintage Vegas Strip resorts, and the menu is no different, boasting seasonal cocktails and mocktails that take a page right out of history—and it won't just be about what's in the glass. Clint Thoman, the museum’s director of food and beverage, reportedly said, "An era thoroughly explored as part of The Mob Museum’s tour and most often perceived through popular culture, we wanted the menu to lean into drinks, flavors and the spirit of the era, while remaining authentic to the hospitality capital of the world," as noted by News 3 LV.
The museum also took to social media to stir up excitement for the Starlight Plaza, teasing potential visitors with the promise of live music and a rotating calendar of events. The museum's post on their official page read: "Arriving this fall to The Mob Museum! The Starlight Plaza, our new seasonal outdoor lounge, takes its cues from Las Vegas’ golden age. Expect cocktails, mocktails, live music and more. Follow along for the details!"
