Las Vegas is shaking off Sunday’s wet weather with a clear Monday morning, temperatures near 55 degrees and a high expected around 70. The valley should stay dry today as skies clear and leftover weekend storm concerns move out of the immediate forecast.
Sunny Monday, Quieter Winds
Northwesterly winds will pick up midmorning, with occasional gusts to 15 knots. Monday’s high is expected to be around 70 degrees. Monday night turns partly cloudy, with a low near 52 and only a light northwest breeze.
Tuesday stays mostly sunny with a high near 68, followed by sunny skies Wednesday and partly cloudy skies Thursday. That gives outdoor plans a much calmer setup than Sunday’s unsettled weather.
Warm Weekend Follows The Midweek Calm
Temperatures climb to about 74 Friday and 75 Saturday under sunny skies, then ease slightly to around 73 Sunday. Overnight lows should remain seasonably cool, ranging from about 51 to 56 degrees across the stretch.
Flood Concerns Shift Outside The Valley
The early flood watch tied to Sunday’s rain expired Monday morning, although water may linger in low-lying areas of parts of Lincoln, northeastern Clark and Mohave counties. The National Weather Service Las Vegas office also said a separate flood warning remained in effect for the Big Sandy River in southern Mohave County because of runoff.
For Las Vegas residents, the week ahead looks like a straightforward desert-weather reset: a cool start, sunny afternoons and a gradual warm-up into the weekend. Drivers should still use caution around any standing water left from Sunday’s rain, especially in low-lying areas.
