Las Vegas is in a state of reflection as marquees across the city’s well-known casino properties display tributes to Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, who was recently killed in an incident that has drawn widespread attention. Last night, a digital sign at Sunset Station in Henderson displayed the message: “In Loving Memory of Charlie Kirk.” According to FOX5 Vegas, Palace Station and other properties also took part in the public tribute.
Tributes to Charlie Kirk, an ally of former President Donald Trump and a figure involved in mobilizing youth for conservative causes, appeared throughout the city following the incident. Kirk was attending a Turning Point USA event at a university in Utah when the fatal incident occurred. As FOX5 Vegas reports, two individuals were briefly held for questioning but were released without charges. Utah officials confirmed that neither person was connected to the shooting. The search for the perpetrator is ongoing.
Station Casinos, a Las Vegas-based company, confirmed that several of their properties displayed memorials for Charlie Kirk. Their marquees showed messages honoring Kirk’s memory. In addition to Sunset Station, other participating properties included Green Valley Ranch Resort, Red Rock Resort, Durango, Palace Station, Santa Fe Station, and Boulder Station, as per a statement obtained by Las Vegas Review-Journal.
