
A pedestrian was taken to a hospital following a hit-and-run collision in Las Vegas early this morning. The incident occurred just before 4:05 a.m. at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Harmon Avenue, as per the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The individual was discovered in the road after the incident and subsequently transported for medical care, as reported by News 3 LV.
While details surrounding the crash were limited, authorities confirmed that the pedestrian's injuries were not life-threatening. However, the search for the suspect vehicle and driver involved in the hit-and-run was still ongoing as police began to thoroughly investigate the scene. As of yet, no suspect vehicle has been identified, according to the details initially released by the police.
Following the crash, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police advised motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. This advisory was aimed at easing congestion and ensuring a seamless investigation process. Decatur Boulevard was closed north of Harmon Avenue, and 8 News Now noted that the road closure was still in effect to carry out the necessary examination of the crash site.
