
An 18-year-old League City resident, Raul Zamudio, was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography. According to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, detectives found evidence on cell phones during a search of his home on Friday.
In June, the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force started investigating Zamudio after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. They found sexual exploitation material involving children under 10 on his devices, as reported by Click2Houston. Zamudio’s bond was set at $60,000. The investigation involved local agencies, including the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit.
The Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with Homeland Security Investigations – Galveston and local police departments from League City, La Marque, Dickinson, La Porte, Pearland, and Hitchcock, arrested Raul Zamudio in a child exploitation case. The agencies involved worked together to investigate and take action against child sexual exploitation.
