For a creative way to spend quality time with the kids, Lewisville Public Library is hosting a Family Craft Night on Monday, September 8, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Bennett Program Room. Families with children of all ages can delight in a variety of come-and-go crafting activities, and there's no need to pre-register. "All children must be accompanied by an adult," the library officials remind, guaranteeing both safety and a chance for families to craft memories alongside art, as per the City of Lewisville.
Addressing the more practical concerns of its teenage patrons, the library is also offering a "College Money Ready" program on Tuesday, September 9, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aimed at teens 14-18 years old and their adults, this event digs into the specifics of saving for college and crucial financial steps one should consider before diving into college life. According to details provided by the library, "Parents are encouraged to attend with their teens," emphasizing the collaborative effort in planning for higher education. The session, curated by DATCU, does require interested parties to register in advance.
As the week progresses, the Lewisville Public Library invites teens to get their game faces on for an after-hours Teen Game Night! Slated for Friday, September 12, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., the gaming extravaganza is set to take place in the Bennett Children’s Wing. Participants between the ages of 13 and 18 will have the opportunity to enjoy an array of digital and board games. "Play our Nintendo Switch and games, try out a Switch 2, or bring your own handheld gaming device and games to play," says the library's announcement, per the City of Lewisville. An array of board games will also be available, and attendees are welcome to bring their favorites. Registration and a permission form are necessary to secure a spot at this high-demand event.
