A tragic incident unfolded on the streets of Long Beach this past Friday evening, claiming the life of a 3-year-old boy. According to KTLA, Long Beach Police responded to a call at 6:27 p.m. regarding a traffic collision at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Rose Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the young child who had sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
The Long Beach Fire Department swiftly took to perform CPR on the toddler before he was transported to a local hospital. Despite all efforts to save the boy's life, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. A preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the boy had run into the street and was hit by a man driving westbound on Artesia Boulevard. "The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities," as stated by CBS News.
