Last night, a two-story Craftsman-style home located at 2639 S Van Buren Pl in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood experienced a significant structure fire, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). Firefighters responded to the blaze at approximately 11:32 PM and were observed actively battling flames that were visible from the second floor.
The LAFD, which was in "offensive mode" upon arrival, was able to contain and extinguish the fire within a span of 27 minutes according to a follow-up report. Their swift response involved a team of 46 firefighters, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
Furthermore, the initial search of the premises indicated that there were no occupants within the residence at the time, which was later supported by the homeowner's statement.
