A man arrived at a Pittsburgh-area hospital last night after sustaining gunshot wounds in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting in the city’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. According to WPXI, the victim arrived by a private vehicle at Allegheny General Hospital at around 11:45 p.m. with two bullet wounds in his back.
The man was reportedly in critical condition following the shooting, but was later updated to be critical but stable. As the victim struggles to recover, the detectives continue to thoroughly review surveillance video from around the 5700 block of Butler Street—the location where the shooting potentially occurred, according to WTAE.
While details regarding the identity of the shooting victim and the motive behind the attack remain sparse, the investigation remains very much active. Public safety officials have not yet released any suspect information or descriptions to the public.
