Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood was thrust into the public eye early this morning following a shooting that left one man critically injured. According to a WPXI report, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials responded to a call around 7 a.m. in the 7200 block of Felicia Way, where officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen outside a structure.
The man was found to be conscious and capable of speaking with the first responders before being transported to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Despite his condition, the victim was not cooperating with investigators. At present, there's been no crime scene located nor suspect identified.
Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit have been enlisted to unravel the circumstances of this event, turning to any piece of video footage that could offer insight into what transpired in the moments leading up to the man being shot.
