An altercation at an apartment complex in southwest Houston earlier today resulted in the death of a man, according to police who are continuing to investigate the incident. The shooting occurred shortly before noon at the Oakmoor Apartments on Oakmoor Parkway near West Airport Boulevard, as reported by KHOU. Authorities stated that a suspect approached the apartment to speak with a woman, which led to a confrontation that escalated and ended with the fatal shooting of a man in his mid-20s. His identity has not yet been released.
The dispute began when a man arrived at the victim's door, resulting in an argument that extended into the parking lot, according to FOX 26 Houston. The fight escalated to gunfire, resulting in injuries to the apartment resident who later died. Investigators and emergency responders arrived at the scene, while the suspect fled and is currently still at large.
