
A fatal incident occurred on the night of Sunday in St. Peters when a man was struck by a car and killed while crossing Missouri Route 364. The collision took place near Jungermann Road around 8:40 p.m, involving a 23-year-old woman from St. Ann, who was driving a 2023 Kia K5 and could not avoid the 42-year-old man from St. Charles as he crossed the eastbound traffic lanes, as KSDK reports.
Following the crash, authorities closed the eastbound lanes of Route 364 to conduct an investigation; as First Alert 4 reported, the vehicle involved in the crash remained on the scene, and traffic was disrupted for some time during which the highway remained closed this disturbance led to significant backups, and drivers were advised to seek alternative routes while officials worked at the scene.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released by the highway patrol, was declared dead at the location of the accident, while the driver of the Kia suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, according to STLToday.
