A man was shot in a Philadelphia high school parking lot overnight, and police are currently searching for a female suspect. FOX 29 reported that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the Sayre High School on Walnut Street, leaving a 29-year-old man with wounds to his back and hip.
The victim was quickly transported to Jefferson Hospital, undergoing surgery that resulted in a stable condition, although the assailant had managed to escape; witnesses described her fleeing in a light-colored or silver SUV, and she was last seen heading the wrong way down 58th Street, as per report by 6abc, confirming the getaway.
Following the incident, police are thoroughly reviewing surveillance footage from the school's cameras in search of clues that could identify the suspect.
