Early this morning, a violent altercation outside a Pittsburgh bar resulted in a man being stabbed in the neck, causing local authorities to launch an investigation into the incident. The confrontation began inside the establishment on Brownsville Road and spilled onto the streets around 2:10 a.m.
According to WPXI, the victim recounted to police that after an unknown man had a fight with him inside the bar, it escalated to physical violence outside. Found at the scene outside of Doug's Den, the man reported the escalation of the argument to the police.
The victim, following the incident, was transported to a hospital where he is said to be stable, according to information reported by WTAE.
The identity of the suspect has yet to be disclosed by the Pittsburgh Police, and as of the latest reports, no arrest has been made. Officers remain at the scene, gathering evidence and witness statements in hopes of shedding light on this sudden burst of violence.
