Indiana County authorities are currently on the lookout for a man involved in the armed robbery of a motorcycle. The suspect, 39-year-old Jacob Shane Penrose, is accused of theft during what began as a motorcycle sale. According to a report by WTAE, the incident occurred last night in the 200 block of Indiana Road in Creekside Borough.
The seller of the Harley-Davidson told State Police that Penrose pulled a gun on him before driving off with the bike. The victim then attempted to follow the suspect into Armstrong County, only to lose sight of him eventually. Later, state troopers discovered the motorcycle abandoned on a hillside off West Lebanon Road, CBS News Pittsburgh reported.
Pursuit efforts to locate Penrose have so far been unsuccessful despite deploying a K-9 tracking team and an aviation patrol unit. Descriptions of Penrose relay that he is a white, non-Hispanic male standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds, with tattoos on the front of his neck. Troopers have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the State Police at 724-357-1960.
