In a swift response to a report of gunfire, the Parker Police Department has announced the arrest of Matthew Littlefield in connection with a recent homicide on S. Twenty Mile Road near E. Longs Way. According to a social media post by the Parker Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene on Tuesday, September 23, at approximately 6:30 p.m. after receiving witness reports of shots being fired between two vehicles that had stopped beside each other following a disagreement.
Upon arrival, police found one male victim deceased with gunshot wounds as for the suspect, Matthew Littlefield, his capture was facilitated by a collaborative effort combining high-tech Flock surveillance technology and details provided by local witnesses, enabling law enforcement to get a lock on the fleeing vehicle's license plate number quickly and thereby triggering an inter-agency look-out, Douglas County Sheriff's Office located and detained the suspect within a short span of time, approximately two-and-a-half hours after the call about the shooting.
The Parker Police Department expressed gratitude towards the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and community members whose "valuable tips" aided in apprehending Littlefield.
