A domestic dispute in Matthews, North Carolina, led to a medical and legal emergency last night, leaving one person injured and another arrested. According to a Facebook post by the Matthews Police Department at midnight, officers responded to a call in the 9500 block of Hunting Court and found a husband and wife involved in an argument.
The incident occurred on yesterday at about 10:22 p.m. and resulted in the wife sustaining a gunshot wound to the hand. She was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Kevin Allen Bullough, born November 8, 1968, was arrested by police. He is charged with Assault by Strangulation and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
Bullough was taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail. Information on his bail status or legal representation was not available at the time of this report. Additional information may be released as the case proceeds.
