As part of the ongoing Sister City Film Exchange between Memphis and Porretta Terme, Bologna, an Italian film will be screened locally through a partnership with MALCO Theatres, Inc. The film, Mio Fratello Rincorre I Dinosauri ("My Brother Chases Dinosaurs"), will be presented at the Malco Paradiso Cinema on Saturday, September 27. The screening begins at 1 p.m., with check-in starting at 12:30 p.m., according to the City of Memphis.

The program includes the featured Italian film along with two short films by Memphis-based filmmakers. Attendance is free, but seating is limited. Interested participants are required to reserve tickets online in advance. All attendees will receive complimentary popcorn and soda.

The main feature has received attention for its themes of family and acceptance. Italian critic Rossy De Palma said, "It’s one of those movies that after watching, you leave the theater a better person," in a statement obtained by the City of Memphis. The film is considered appropriate for both adults and teenagers.

The event will also feature short films by Memphis Shelby County filmmakers Noah Glenn and Caleb Suggs. Glenn’s "The Devil Will Run" and Suggs’ music video "Love Shake" were previously screened at the Porretta Film Festival. Both filmmakers are scheduled to attend and introduce their work. Porretta Film Festival Director Luca Elmi will also be present to introduce the Italian feature, as per the City of Memphis.

Gratitude is extended to the contributors who made this cultural exchange possible: the Memphis & Shelby County Film/TV Commission Foundation, the Porretta Film Festival, and the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission.
