
Metropolitan Police quickly apprehended a suspect following a robbery on H Street, Northwest, as details came to light during the ongoing investigation. The incident occurred on Monday night around 11:35 p.m., involving a robbery accompanied by violence and a swift getaway. Law enforcement immediately canvassed the area, searching for the suspect based on the description provided in the initial lookout alert.
During the night, while the victim was receiving care after the assault, police stopped an individual matching the suspect’s description. The alleged perpetrator was located close to the crime scene, ending the search.
The MPD's report reveals that this swift action led to the apprehension of 41-year-old Russell Johnson from Southwest D.C. The suspect now faces charges of Robbery (Force and Violence) related to the incident.
