The incident happened on August 26, at about 4:47 a.m. in the 3800 block of Georgia Avenue. Fourth District officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police are searching for the suspect and have released surveillance footage to the public, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department. They ask anyone who recognizes the individual to contact authorities with information. Police urge the public not to take action themselves and to report any tips directly to law enforcement.
