As the nation celebrated Labor Day, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office took a moment on their social media to acknowledge the dedication of its staff and other public safety workers who do not rest even on holidays. "Everywhere you go today, you'll see signs marking places and service providers being 'closed.' You won't see those signs at the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office," stated the post on Facebook by Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
The post highlighted that while many take a break to celebrate the 131st national Labor Day observance, deputy sheriffs, correctional officers, and support staff continue serving proudly. Especially acknowledging their unwavering commitment, "On this 131st national #LaborDay observance, #MKESheriff thanks all who labor in the interests of safety," the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office proclaimed. Gratitude was also extended to the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the AFSCME Council 32, who advocate for the welfare of these indispensable members of the community.
The Milwaukee Sheriff's Office not only serves as a reminder of the public servants who work tirelessly all year round but also shines a light on the organizations that support their efforts. As they took to social media to appreciate the labor behind public safety, it was clear that this acknowledgment extends far beyond one single day of the year.
