Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 60 degrees and a light north breeze. The weather improves later this week, says the National Weather Service. Thursday may start with a few showers (20% chance) but will turn sunny with a high of 71. Friday looks sunny and pleasant with a high of 76. The weekend will be nice too, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s on Saturday and mid-70s on Sunday. Evening temperatures will stay mild, with lows in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.
Despite a quiet weather scene for most, the National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook advises of the possibility of "areas of fog" early this morning and also points to a chance of "an isolated thunderstorm or two" near the Wisconsin-Illinois border. No further hazardous weather is expected following today's slight risks. Spotters, who are generally volunteers reporting weather observations to the National Weather Service, "will not be needed," the outlook concludes.
