
The City of Milwaukee’s Office of Equity & Inclusion will host an in-person job fair today from noon to 3 p.m. at 9040 W. Good Hope Rd., a Walgreens location on the city’s northwest side. The event will offer immediate employment opportunities to community members, as per the City of Milwaukee release.
Supported by Alderwoman Larresa Taylor, Alderman Mark Chambers Jr., and Alderman Lamont Westmoreland, the fair will feature employers from manufacturing, office, healthcare, retail, and transportation/logistics sectors.
The event is organized in collaboration with Northwest Side CDC, Employ Milwaukee, UMOS, Fathers Making Progress, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. Additional participating organizations include Goodwill SEW, City of Milwaukee DOA, The Corridor, City of Milwaukee DER, Ross IES, State of WI DWD, MPS, Northcott NH, Greater Milwaukee Urban League, Milwaukee County Parks, Maximus, City of Milwaukee Office of Community Wellness and Safety, and DCMKE.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet employers and career specialists from employment service agencies. According to an official City of Milwaukee release, the fair is part of a series of events focused on emerging neighborhoods and aligns with the city’s goals of inclusivity and economic equity.
