The Milwaukee Police Department reports that a young boy previously unidentified has been confirmed safe and his identity verified. According to WISN, the child was first found around 11 a.m. yesterday near 107th and Stark streets. He was described as a Black male, estimated to be 5 or 6 years old, about 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 50 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

As per FOX 6 Milwaukee, when located, the boy had limited verbal skills and could not provide his name. He was wearing a white “True Religion” T-shirt and designer jeans with cuts on the front.

As noted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, police issued a public request to identify the child rather than a “critically missing” alert.

The child was found on the 4900 block of North 107th Street, west of Timmerman Airport. The Milwaukee Police have not released information on how the boy became lost or the next steps for his safety.
