Minneapolis Police Department's 3rd Precinct officers have reportedly apprehended a suspicious individual wandering an apartment parking ramp on the 1900 block of Portland Avenue South, a hotspot for vehicle break-ins, according to a Minneapolis Police Department social media post.

Upon their arrival, a security guard flagged down the officers, highlighting the suspect who was toting a long stick. The person initially provided the officers with a fake name and date of birth, but eventually revealed his true identity. This led to the discovery that he had several outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.

The Minneapolis Police Department has expressed its thanks to the responsive action of the officers involved, stating, "Thanks to quick action by our officers, another potential round of car break-ins was prevented."

After confirming his warrants and the false identification attempt, the man was arrested and now faces consequences for both the pre-existing warrants and his attempt to deceive law enforcement; thus, Minneapolis residents have been spared from what could have been yet another series of vehicular break-ins plaguing their community.
