Efrain Aguayo Jr., 32, encountered the law's firm grip after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) flagged multiple uploads of unlawful content, prompting a swift response from the police department's High-Tech Crimes Unit.
Following these tips, detectives executed a search warrant at the coach's Modesto residence, uncovering various electronic devices set for detailed forensic scrutiny, while Aguayo now faces the grim reality behind bars on a charge of PC 311.11(a)—Possession or Control of Child Pornography; this from a social media update by Modesto Police. In a turn that touches a nerve for many, detectives disclosed that Aguayo had been coaching a Modesto youth travel soccer team, a position of trust now marred by the sting of accusation
The investigation has found no evidence that the team’s players were involved, offering some relief in a troubling situation.
