The Texas Medical Board has suspended the license of physician assistant Jonathan Edward Brown after charges of indecency with a child. Court documents from Montgomery County show that an 11-year-old girl reported Brown touched her inappropriately during a wrestling incident on August 4, which was reportedly recorded on a Ring camera, according to ABC13.
The Texas Physician Assistant Board suspended Brown's license immediately after receiving the arrest notice on August 11, saying it was "after determining his continuation in practice as a physician assistant poses a continuing threat to public welfare." Court documents state that Brown "intended to arouse and gratify the sexual desire of himself, by engaging in sexual contact with a child." Brown's attorney said, "Mr. Brown has entered a plea of not guilty because he is not guilty, and under Texas law is presumed innocent," as reported by ABC13.
Brown, who last saw patients at Highland Woods Health in August 2022, is no longer with the practice and was referred to as a "former employee," as mentioned by CW39. The Texas Medical Board had until recently listed Highland Woods Health as his primary practice location. He may face a temporary suspension hearing for his medical license, which could be waived if he chooses. The investigation into the allegations against him is ongoing.
