A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Kia SUV yesterday in Petaluma, authorities reported. The accident occurred around 1:04 PM at East Madison Street and Novak Drive. Petaluma Police Department and Petaluma Fire Department responded to the scene following multiple community members' reports of the incident.
Upon arrival, emergency responders quickly found the motorcyclist with serious injuries. The Petaluma Fire Department paramedics immediately transported the victim to a local hospital for urgent care. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Kia SUV was present when they arrived and has since been actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation. As per the initial assessment, there seems to be no indication of alcohol involvement in the cause of the accident.
