The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed that skeletal remains found in Clear Lake in March are those of 22-year-old Angela Marisol Diaz, who was reported missing in July 2024. Her remains were located near Moonrock Drive and Bay Area Boulevard, close to NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Clear Lake High School. “It is with deep sorrow that I share this heartbreaking update,” her father, Edward Diaz, said in a statement. Houston police are investigating the case, as reported by Click2Houston.
Angela’s disappearance led to a search and investigation that uncovered links to human trafficking. Court documents show that Krystephor Karvon Brown, 31, was charged with promotion of prostitution after allegedly arranging appointments involving Diaz. “She’s the joy,” Angela’s sister, Sorangely Diaz, told Click2Houston. “Her energy, her joy is something else. I miss that.”
