Driving under the influence is a serious offense and on Thursday, the Nevada State Police took steps to reinforce that message. According to a social media post from Nevada State Police, a patrol trooper pulled over a driver suspected of impaired driving on IR11/IR15 southbound. This event occurred south of at approximately 6:44 pm.
"This driver was later arrested for suspicion of impaired driving," said the State Police in a statement. The imposition of Nevada's legal blood alcohol content limit, 0.08% for drivers, and .04% for commercial drivers, serves as the threshold for such arrests.
The Nevada State Police emphasized, "You drink, You drive, You lose!!!" indicating a zero-tolerance stance on the offense. Due to the quick action of the NHP Trooper, they were able to prevent the driver from potentially causing harm or even death on the roads.
