The New Orleans Police Department is on the lookout for a man they believe is responsible for a recent burglary. The New Orleans Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating Coleman Vickers, a white male born on June 11, 1983, who is described as "tall and slender" with visible tattoos on his neck and both arms. A notice from the New Orleans Police Department News states that Vickers is a persona of interest in an August 13 incident where over $15,000 worth of tools were stolen from the 2800 block of Franklin Avenue around 4:22 p.m.
Officials are cautioning the public, noting that Coleman Vickers should be considered armed and dangerous. He has been reported to frequently visit the French Quarter along with surrounding areas, and authorities are warning citizens not to approach him due to his known possession of a firearm. Instead, those with any information on Vickers' whereabouts are urged to contact the police directly, as reported by the New Orleans Police Department.
The New Orleans Police Department is asking anyone who may know of Vickers or has seen someone matching his description to come forward. Vickers is easily identifiable by his distinctive tattoos and his physical stature. The department has released an image of Vickers to aid in his identification and they hope the combined efforts of the police force and the community will lead to his apprehension.
