In the City of North Las Vegas, a bus filled not with students but with stories is making its way through the community, delivering books and a love for reading to children far and wide. The City of North Las Vegas Municipal Government recently shared news about Councilwoman Ruth Garcia-Anderson attending an event at Gilbert Magnet Elementary School, celebrating the Clark County School District Book Bus.
The Book Bus, as noted by the city's official website, has become an important fixture, driving through Southern Nevada and offering a portable library experience. Since its launch between 2023 to 2025, it has reached an impressive milestone, touching the lives of over 84,000 students and distributing upwards of 200,000 books.
The bus has also played a pivotal role at more than 180 school and community events, showcasing not just the power of reading, but the commitment of the school district to reach every child with the gift of literature, as reported by the City of North Las Vegas.
