In an urgent appeal to the public, the NYPD Crimestoppers shared a plea for information regarding an armed robbery that occurred in the Bronx. The incident, which took place on July 30 at around 8:55 p.m., saw a 21-year-old prepared to purchase sneakers only to find himself at gunpoint. During the incident, the suspect took the victim’s wallet, keys, bag, and $13,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.
The encounter unfolded in front of 3150 Rochambeau Avenue, within the 52 Precinct, where the victim agreed to meet the seller. However, their interaction swiftly transformed when the suspect entered the victim's vehicle, brandished a firearm, and issued a verbal threat. Following the robbery, the assailant fled in a White Dodge Durango that had been parked on East 206 Street, disappearing westbound. The NYPD Crimestoppers relayed this narrative in a recent social media post, calling for anyone with information to come forward.
