The NYPD is urgently seeking information related to a reported sexual assault incident on a Manhattan MTA bus. According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, yesterday, a 19-year-old woman was victimized while onboard the M101 bus. The crime occurred as the vehicle was making its way towards the intersection of West 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard at approximately 9:42 A.M.
Details of the assault include the perpetrator approaching the young woman from behind before pressing his groin against her, over her clothing. After the incident, the individual responsible for the assault disembarked the bus on West 135th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, then fled the scene on foot, evading immediate capture.
The NYPD has issued a call for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect associated with this violation.
