
The NYPD is on the lookout for a suspect following a violent encounter on a Queens bus earlier this month. The assault, which took place on a southbound Q44 MTA Bus, occurred at the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and Archer Avenue. The incident unfolded within the jurisdiction of the NYPD's 103 Precinct, according to a post on the NYPD Crimestoppers' Facebook page.
According to the authorities, the attack happened on September 3, at about 5:05 PM. Amidst the evening commute, an individual engaged in a heated verbal argument with a 59-year-old woman. The dispute quickly escalated when the assailant punched the victim and then, brandished a knife to slash her arm, resulting in a laceration.
Investigators are keen to gather more information and are urging the public to come forward with any relevant details that may assist in the case. The NYPD Crimestoppers are particularly interested in receiving tips that could lead to the identification and arrest of the person involved in this assault.
