A man is currently sought by the NYPD in connection with an assault that took place on a Brooklyn subway last week. According to a post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred on August 29, around 4:23 P.M., where a 31-year-old male was allegedly attacked aboard a southbound "A" train as it neared Hoyt/Schermerhorn Station.
The situation reportedly began with a verbal dispute between the victim and the assailant leading up to the physical assault, the NYPD urges anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation since public safety is paramount and witnessing such altercation can be traumatizing, knowing the perpetrator is still at large only exacerbates the anxiety felt by regular commuters.
In the altercation, the assailant is said to have brandished a knife and slashed the victim on the left side of his arm and head, prompting an ongoing search for the unidentified individual responsible for this violent act. The police have asked the community to contact them with any leads, and information can be provided anonymously through direct messaging to @nypdtips or by calling the hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
