The Ohio Department of Transportation recently took to social media to applaud their crews for solving a safety issue at a problematic intersection. In a post that channeled the spirit of vintage rap, they quoted Vanilla Ice, saying, "If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it," a nod to the actions of their Perry County staff and Roadway Services, according to ODOT. The team addressed community concerns at the intersection of SR 668 & Hopewell Indian Rd, improving visibility and safety for Ohioans.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation's social media post, crews cleared 600 feet of trees in both directions and 100 feet off the roadway. This effort was part of the department's #WorkerWednesday initiative to highlight the efforts and achievements of its workforce.
The difference post-clearance is "easy to see," according to the Ohio Department of Transportation's post, which indicates a significant improvement in line-of-sight for drivers navigating this previously hazardous area. The clearing was completed with the intention of reducing the risk of accidents by eliminating visual obstructions near the road. In a display of gratitude for their diligence and hard work, the social media post extended a heartfelt "thank you" to the crews responsible for their dedication to keeping the roads, and consequently, Ohio residents, safe.
